Knowledge Check

One way that occupational therapy has stayed the same over the years is how practitioners have always put the client first over themselves. In my research for our era project, I found that whether in natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or wars, that occupational therapists were there to help people recover in any way possible. OTs were affected by these events as well as everyone else, but helped others while they were hurting, scared, or working through things themselves. I've noticed the trend throughout the years that occupational therapists work to help others by putting the client first and going above and beyond to give them the best treatment possible.
